things change

Well its been a long week and our plans have changed a lot... Chris got some great news and some bad news all on the same day... He is now released to El Dorado/Amador county as of May 25th, and will be starting the returning engineer academy they hold for everyone for the up and coming fire season.... GOOD NEWS.... the bad news is that he starts on the 25th, which was week two of our trip... so on Thursday night we had a decide what we wanted to do for our trip/vacation... BAD NEWS .... so on Friday after i took my final 9:30am, i spent the whole day planing and booking everything for plan b.... which has turned out to be Florida :) for a week.... so here i am planning a vacation in one day, calling Chris every 30minutes to make sure hes in the loop with everything that im doing is ok .... but i managed to do it and its Turing out great... chirs got off work Friday night around 8pm which was earlier than he thought ... spent the whole night packing and canceling our US trip plans and then boarded the plane on Saturday at 8:30am and landed in Florida at 7pm. once we landed and made our way to the rental car area we realized that was one reservation i didnt make... ooppss so thankfully Micheal (chri's brother) was able to get online in idaho and book us a car, we waited 1hr and then walked up and got our car, plus we saved money doing that too :0) ... we have spent sat. night and all day Sunday at Keri's house (family friend of chris's), went to the pool this afternoon and played with NOAH (Keri's 3 year old son) got some sun :) and then watched Florida's lighting shows :). Tomorrow we leave to go to Disney World :) for 4 days.... then its off to Kennedy space center to see the shuttle land and then spend a day in Daytona where we are spending a day at the beach :) more sun :) ... then its off to well WHO knows where.... were gonna make it back to Keri's house sometime next weekend to hangout with them some more before we head back to cali. so those of you who we havent talked to and dont know whats going on we just wanted to keep u updated...

As for our US trip its not completely out of our heads and its still going to happen just not this year... we worked so hard on planning it and for us not to go on it just isnt something that Chris and i will except because its something that we want to accomplish while we are still young :)

10 Day and Counting

Its almost here. I get nervous just thinking about it and I know Amanda feels the same. Feet and hands tingling. Are we ready? We have racked our brains for things we need, but aside from clothing, we think we got it all. But how do you pack for 24 days? What would you bring if you only needed the necessities ? Last Sunday Amanda and I had a Champagne brunch at a place called Italian Cottage. The picture of Amanda with the monkeys is from there. What a great day. We got an email from Kevin and Molly securing us our hotel reservations for New York. Thank you Kevin and Molly and Molly's sister. We were able to finalize the rest 0f our reservations and now the trip is in the hands of God. Prayers for us and the bus are greatly appreciated. And a big thanks to all those who helped in the planning process. We fly to Idaho with supplies on saturday May 16th. Departure is planned for May 17th and we should be back in Sacramento Monday June 8th. All systems go!

less than 2 weeks

hey everyone... so Chris and i will be in Yellowstone Park in two weeks from today... so much stuff to do still... we both cant believe were actually going to be able to do this once in a life time vacation... we finished all of the bookings for hotels this past weekend... Chris hasn't been able to get on the Internet because he couldn't figure out that his signal bottom was turned off and i haven't been able to write because ive been busy working on trying to get work stuff all done before i leave... its all coming together but i still fill like i have so much more to do... just a little explanation of all the stuff that's happening in the next two weeks... work- make sure all paper work/ lesson plans are done, coloring papers & calendars are printed, make summer class schedule changes, oh ya and figure out for sure who's going to take my classes while im gone... school- finish 1 test, take 2 finals thurs 14th & fri 15th. after that i have to drive to my parents drop off my two Cats (who im going to miss a lot) and car so my brother can fix everything that's wrong with it during the 3 weeks that we are gone... so ya life is crazy... but im done for now and ill keep updating as the days go by... Planning the Trip

The word of the day is flexible. We have been spending the weekends since COA graduation planning this trip. The route and points of intrest have changed at least 10 times and we have about 10 trips using different routes to get around the USA. The major hiccup is when fire season is declared open and how much time we accually get, but never-the-less we have 10+ trips ranging from 20-27 Days and some cool "extras" that could be fun depending on the timeoff. The main points of intrest are: Yellowstone National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Kings Island amusement park VIP guests, 2 days in Washington DC including Memorial Day, 2-3 Days in NewYork, the Grand Canyon, the Hover Dam/Las Vegas, Up To 5 Six Flags including Chicago, Baltimore/DC, New Jersey, Atlanta and Dallas..... Flexible......! All in all the planning has been a fun part of the trip and we are already finding that attitude is a big player in how much fun we are going to have...... And we are having fun planning and making the best of it.

4 weeks away

So it is almost just under 4 weeks and we will be heading out on the road... we just found out that chris might be moving to El Dorado/Amador country Cal fire for the summer time so we are still hoping that it wont come earlier than when we plan to be home or else were going to have to cut maybe florida out of our Trip, which would be ok because we would just have to save up again and make a special Florida trip then maybe next year :) .... So we have started to make our list of things to need and im starting to put things to the side that i know i will need on the trip... but thats all i have for now, i just wanted to get this started so when we get on the road we will be able to share our trip with our family and friends...
